Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, disturbances, and incidents requiring law enforcement intervention.
- Conduct patrols using standard passenger cars to monitor neighborhoods, public events, and high-crime areas for suspicious activity.
- Perform criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and writing detailed reports.
- Execute arrest procedures in accordance with legal protocols while managing conflict situations with professionalism and restraint.
- Apply search and seizure laws accurately during investigations to uphold constitutional rights.
- Utilize surveillance techniques and firearms handling in law enforcement scenarios to neutralize threats effectively.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, demonstrating readiness for medical emergencies on scene.
- Manage evidence collection and loss prevention activities while adhering to evidence law standards.
- Engage with the community through outreach programs to foster trust and cooperation.
- Maintain physical conditioning to meet the demands of the role and ensure readiness for various operational scenarios.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in law enforcement practices, criminal investigation, or related fields such as military service or security work.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, criminal procedure, procedural law, evidence law, animal handling (optional), immigration law (nice-to-have), and local ordinances.
- Demonstrated ability in report writing with clear documentation of incidents and investigations.
- Strong physical conditioning to perform patrols, pursuits, searches, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating standard passenger cars safely under various conditions; proficiency in driving is essential.
- Certifications or training in first aid protocols—including CPR—and use of force training are highly desirable.
- Skills in conflict management and effective communication to de-escalate tense situations while enforcing laws fairly.
- Experience with firearms handling specific to law enforcement standards is preferred.
- Ability to handle animal encounters professionally when necessary; knowledge of animal care is a plus.
