Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair on machinery, forklifts, balers, trailers, tractors, loaders, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and service technician tasks across various systems, including plant equipment, building repair, and welding.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively.
- Lead maintenance projects involving repair and installs, ensuring safety standards are met throughout the process.
- Maintain detailed inventory of items and parts needed for repair and stock.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to prioritize maintenance tasks, improve processes, and uphold safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic with a background in building maintenance, trailer repairs, tractor repairs, forklift repairs, and hydraulic/electrical knowledge.
- Skilled in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair and maintenance, using the best general maintenance practices.
- Experience with baler service and repair is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to guide junior team members or oversee maintenance projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication to coordinate repairs efficiently.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
