What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at George Washington Academy?
GWA is looking to hire a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide safety and support for children in our Special Education Program. Applicants should enjoy working with children, be patient, and be good with taking directions. Some physical requirements are required. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year for a maximum of 29 hours per week, Monday-Friday. An Associate's Degree, 48 credit hours, or a Paraprofessional Test (PRAXIS) is required and must be presented upon being hired. Prior experience working with special education students is desired. Compensation is $17.26 per hour. All employees are required to pass a BCI background check.
