What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service/Kitchen Staff (Part-Time 29 hours per week max) position at George Washington Academy?

George Washington Academy is currently looking to hire a Part-Time Food Service/ Kitchen Staff for the 2025-2026 school year to work in our kitchen helping with cooking and food preparation, supervising students during breakfast, and cleaning up after. Attendance, cleanliness, and detailed fast-paced work are extremely important. Will need to have physical strength (carry bulky objects of up to 50 pounds with or without assistance), and the agility to pull, push, squat, twist, turn and lift. Prefer someone with basic knowledge of cooking procedures, but not required. The hours will be Monday–Friday 8:00am-1:30pm with a max of 29 hours per week. Will be required to obtain a Food Handlers Permit. Pay starts at $17.87 per hour. All employees are required to pass a BCI background check.
