Join our team as an Electrical Engineer Co-op and gain hands-on experience in the development of cutting-edge Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, testing, and integration of high-frequency electronics, antennas, and embedded systems used in subsurface imaging and detection technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and testing of RF circuits, antennas, and signal processing components for GPR systems.
- Support PCB layout, schematic capture, and hardware prototyping.
- Conduct lab testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into GPR platforms.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and production units.
- Document engineering processes, test results, and design iterations.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Coursework or experience in signal processing, FPGA, or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers, FPGAs, sensors, and interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with GPR or other radar technologies.
- Experience in RF design
- Exposure to C/C or Python for embedded development.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in high-frequency systems.
- Familiarity with lab equipment and RF testing procedures.
