GEODIS Sales Representative - Freight Brokerage
What you will be doing:
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of new customer opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting
- Manages and grows existing accounts to maximize margin abilities
- Negotiates rates and terms that deliver cost-effective logistics solutions for customers while protecting GEODIS margin
- Applies business development skills to identify, qualify, and develop relationships with new business prospects
- Monitors market conditions and business trends to identify opportunities to grow margins
- Tracks all sales activity, opportunities, and account history in the CRM
- Maintains reliable communications with sales team and customer to support and resolve any problems
- Understands and supports the goals, policies, and procedures of GEODIS
Requirements:
- Drive to succeed, confidence, and superior verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional customer service focus and skills
- Willingness to make a minimum of 50 outbound sales calls per day
- Ability to work well independently, occasionally with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to follow established processes, maintain required standards, and contribute process improvements back to the team
- Organizational and scheduling skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Previous freight brokerage experience (preferred)
- 6 months of customer sales experience (preferred)
- 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) experience and familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management System) platforms (preferred)
