What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Acquisitions (Retail and Office) position at Genuine Search Group?
We are working exclusively with a global real estate investment firm that has over $10 billion in assets. This role will help oversee NYC acquisitions with a focus on retail/office properties.
Responsibilities:
- Source and manage retail and/or office transactions from inception to closing
- Perform market research for potential real estate acquisitions
- Assist in the drafting and preparation of detailed investment memoranda
- Follow up on all leads and requests for information
- Assess comparables, property value, and condition through research, outreach, data, site walks, and market trends
- Manage due diligence process and assist in the disposition process
- Develop relationships with potential joint venture partners, developers, or brokers for acquisitions
- Physically inspect properties for possible acquisitions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in Real Estate Acquisitions with a focus on retail and/or office assets
- Experience with deal sourcing is required
- Proficiency with Argus, Excel, and financial modeling
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both peers and senior executives in a team-oriented environment
- Willing to travel extensively
