Senior Accountant (Costing Focus)
We are looking for a detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support full-cycle accounting with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Manage all aspects of
cost accounting
, including standard cost updates, cost rollups, material/labor/overhead analysis, and annual cost reviews. - Analyze manufacturing and inventory variances, explaining drivers and preparing recommendations for operational improvement.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, including WIP, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Support the development and maintenance of product cost models to improve pricing and margin insights.
- Perform financial analysis for production performance, absorption, scrap, and yield.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to COGS, inventory, and production metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, with strong cost accounting exposure (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Job scope; advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
