Overview/Summary:
- One of LI's most active owner/developers is seeking maintenance support for their office portfolio in Garden City.
- 5-6 office buildings in Garden City, all walkable to one another
- Full-time job - 9-6, M-F, potential for 6 AM - 3 PM if preferred
- Important to have car, hard to get there through public transportation
- At least 10 years of experience required
Key Requirements:
- Technical: Mechanical, light electric, plumbing, boilers, HVAC knowledge, building management systems
- Commercial preferred, not required
Job Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic will report to Vice President Commercial Property Management. The duties of the position shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform minor electrical work including but not limited to replacing outlets, ballasts, switches, light bulbs, and working with contractors.
- Perform minor plumbing work including but not limited to unclogging drain lines, fixture replacement, and working with contractors.
- Perform basic HVAC repairs and maintenance, and working with contractors.
- Perform general service duties including but not limited to cleaning and painting mechanical rooms and developing inventory tool storage.
- Respond to tenant request for services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance program, energy management system, and property management software.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
