What are the responsibilities and job description for the Party Assistant position at GentleHands Tallahassee Playspace?
GentleHands is an indoor play ground for children 0-6 years old. We thrive by giving families a safe and clean space to play and offering amazing classes, special events, and memorable birthday parties for young children. We are hiring 2-3 new part time team members to primarily work events and birthday parties. Weekend availability on a regular basis is a must. Party assistants will have the option to apply for the Party Lead position with a pay raise within one month (or 20 parties worked) of beginning training.
Weekday hours are also available as a Play Area Team Member if you are looking for additional hours.
The ideal candidate:
- Enjoys helping make big and small moments special for families.
- Is detail oriented and notices and remembers the tiny details that make sure things are ready to go smoothly.
- Communicates well with adults and children.
- Thinks quickly and is adaptable for varied customer needs.
- Has great time management skills to help events and parties operate smoothly.
Job details:
- Setting up decorations for parties
- Communicating with party families about party needs
- Cleaning and sanitizing toys and facility
- Checking in party guests
- Communicating with party attendees about rules for the play area
- Helping party families pass out food and cake
- Leading party activities with children
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Starting pay: $14.50/hour tips as applicable
