What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Assisted Living Facility position at Gentlebrook?
Cooks are critical members in supporting our dining services team, as well as creating an exceptional dining experience for all assisted living residents.
Cook - Assisted Living Facility Pay & Schedule:
- $16-$17/ hour, compensation based on experience.
- PART-TIME (16HRS PER WEEK)
- Shift: 10:30AM-7PM
- PAID Training!

Cook Duties & Qualifications:
- 50 residents served daily, peaceful working environment
- Responsible for prepping food and following approved recipes
- Follow specific diets: puree, mechanical soft, etc.
- Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures
- Follow proper procedures for safety and sanitation
- Monitor temperatures, product freshness and quality according to company policies and health department recommendations
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet health department and company standards
- Must be a team player
- Minimum 1-2 years in food service as a cook, chef, or similar capacity.
Candidate must have a clean background check, physical, and drug screen.
