Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our assisted living and memory care facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming
- Provide personal care and support to residents in a respectful and dignified manner
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation using EMR systems
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental stimulation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas, including common spaces
- Assist with mobility
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred
- Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities is essential
- Experience in memory care or Alzheimer’s care is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
