About the Role (Summary of project)
Gentis Solutions is seeking a Mag Particle Level II / Quality Inspector to join our client’s manufacturing team in Fairfield, OH. This dual-role position combines hands-on Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) with quality inspection responsibilities to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying material defects, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement within the quality department.
What You’ll Do (Job Description):
- Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) in accordance with established procedures and industry standards.
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products for surface and subsurface defects.
- Accurately interpret and document inspection results, generating detailed and traceable reports.
- Apply MT techniques to detect cracks, inclusions, and other flaws in ferrous materials.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product compliance.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve nonconformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, certifications, and calibration documentation.
- Ensure testing and measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Support overall quality initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
What We’re Looking For (Must Haves):
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) (in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality inspection or nondestructive testing (NDT) within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting and documenting MT results.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
