Position Summary
The Corporate Travel Manager will be responsible for managing and organizing all business-related travel arrangements for employees, executives, and guests of Gentell. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various travel logistics, ensuring cost-effectiveness, safety, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking and Logistics:
- Coordinate and book all travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and car rentals, primarily handling complex trips, group bookings, or exceptions that cannot be self-booked through current travel platforms.
- Manage complex itineraries, including multi-city and international travel.
- Secure necessary visas, passports, and other travel documentation.
- Set up new users on our travel management platform.
- Policy and Budget Management:
- Ensure all travel bookings adhere to the company's travel policy and budget guidelines.
- Negotiate rates with airlines, hotels, and travel agencies to secure cost savings.
- Process and audit travel expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all travel-related inquiries and issues.
- Provide travelers with comprehensive itineraries, booking confirmations, and destination-specific advice (e.g., cultural norms, safety).
- Manage and resolve travel-related emergencies, delays, or cancellations efficiently, providing 24/7 support when necessary.
- Vendor Relations and Administration:
- Maintain strong relationships with preferred travel vendors and agencies.
- Track and report on key travel metrics, expenditures, and cost savings.
- Manage the company's corporate travel credit card program.
- Evaluate current travel platform and make recommendations to improve cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate travel, administrative, or logistics role.
- Proven experience with online booking tools.
- Skills:
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
