Your Role
As a Gensler Project Architect, your creativity and thoughtfulnesswill create opportunities in the authorship of engaging human experiences in the built environment. You have professional skills and technical acumen which enable your development and execution of design. In this role, you will evolve your existing strengths while growing towards a leadership role in guiding our clients to design solutions.
Based in astudio inour Phoenix office, you will join a team serving clients in purpose-built environments for workplacefocusedinteriorswork.Through our close partnership with clients in such active fields of development, weare able toleveragedesign to achieve livable cities, reductions in global warming potential, and an engaging work experience for occupants of our projects.
What You Will Do
Engage directly with senior design leadershipand design teamsfrom early development through theconstruction documentationphases
Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatoryagenciesand other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Manage project team and coordination of consultants
Produce BIM models and construction drawings
Resolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative,technicaland constructible solutions
Provide Mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff members
Participate in office culture and initiatives
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree inArchitecturefrom an accredited school
Licensure required.
10 years of experience as a project architect, with a strong background in workplace interiors
Experience working with Revitisrequired
Proficiencywith SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but notrequired
Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Effective communicator, collaborative and team-conscious
Experience working directly with contractors
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiplejurisdictions
Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
Previousexperience in sustainable design projectsis preferable.Built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard,Fitweland /or Net Zero Building certificationis desired
