PURPOSE:
TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHINCAL SUPPORT IN THE OPERATION OF THE THERMOFORMING DEPARTMENT
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure proper flow of raw materials and finished goods to and from the line to ensure smooth operation.
- Provide accurate feedback to the supervisor with regard to employee performance reviews and discipline.
- Actively contributes toward a safe work environment.
- Balance’s productivity goals while maintaining a quality product.
- Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making ability regarding day-to-day operations and can successfully run the department in the absence of the supervisor.
- Effectively cross trains personnel and recommends skill development to achieve departmental goals.
- Minimize conflict within the department and encourage open lines of communication, treating all staff fairly, fostering team spirit, and maintaining an air of professionalism and credibility.
- Effectively utilize time available to achieve results through proper delegation of work, control over ongoing projects and prioritizing demands.
- Complete audits, safety talks, production reports and other paperwork as necessary.
- Fill in for absences as necessary
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs.

- Smell: 5% of the shift.
12.Ability to lift 25 pounds/Max.
13.Employees may wear corrective lenses (with protective safety over glasses) PPE or use our Safety Prescription Program (Ask your HR Representative).
14.Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
SAFETY:
The Packer will be responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and policy procedures. Employee’s responsibilities include but not limited to:
1.Compliance with all facility rules and regulations.
2.Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their Supervisor.
3.Maintain floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow employees, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities.
4.Communicate to Management those employees who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures.
5.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)/properly and reporting any defective PPE.
6.Report all near misses, accidents, injuries, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders.
QUALIFICATION:
- Be able to work overtime if required with little or no notice
- Good knowledge of all safety procedures
- Complete any job task given within reason assigned by supervisor or manager
- Wear all required PPE
- Computer literate (input of data)
- Experience in Thermoforming
- Good understanding of the process and equipment
- Able to use/read gages related to the assigned operation.
- Able to set up jobs and troubleshoot
- Able to adjust production equipment and tooling to maintain process capability and improve production standards.
- Must be able to train on all specific operations of the assigned production lines.
- Able to think, and act independently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employees will be working in a Manufacturing and/or Warehouse environment in all types of weather.
Conditions may range from and include : hot, cold, humid, loud, working near airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and forklift traffic.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Manufacturing experience or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
