Phones/Server for Busy Pizza Shop

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Pizza Phones/Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role involves taking customer orders via phone and in-person, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with food preparation and serving. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in sales, upselling, and food handling while ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, taking accurate orders for delivery or pickup
• Greet customers in person with a welcoming attitude and assist them with placing orders
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payments
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitation of work surfaces
• Ensure food safety standards are followed during food preparation and serving
• Assist with food prep tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
• Manage time efficiently to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality service standards

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is advantageous
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in cashiering, food handling, or serving roles demonstrates strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and basic math for cash handling is preferred
• Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience can be beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
