Compensation
- Gross Weekly Pay: $2,500 (40 hours/week)
- Blended Hourly Rate: $62.50
- Taxable Weekly: $800
- Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,700
Job Summary
Mental Health Coordinators provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature within a correctional facility. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering counseling services, and supporting inmates through crisis intervention and ongoing behavioral health care while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health screenings and clinical assessments through record review and inmate interviews
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support
- Document evaluations and treatment activities in health records
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Apply psychological counseling theory and therapeutic techniques effectively
Required Qualifications
- Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in the state of practice
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a similar role
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field from an accredited institution
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Requirements
- Driver’s license and Social Security Card required for facility clearance
- Drug screening (DS) completed prior to start (scheduled by the facility at a nearby location)
