What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solution Architect - AI Systems position at geniantllc?
Who We Are
geniant is a fast-growing, award winning, experience consulting firm with studios in Chicago, Dallas, London, and San Francisco. We design across digital, physical, and human touchpoints, partnering with startups and Fortune 500 companies to bridge the gap between a brand’s promise and real-world experiences. Through integrated insights, experiences, and an AI-first approach, we deliver experiences that benefit customers, employees, and the bottom line.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Solution Architect - AI Systems - Contract who can design and deliver AI-based prototypes that demonstrate how clients can get real, consistent value from their data and image analysis tools. This role is less about research and more about creating systems that work—securely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll be responsible for bringing together AI technologies, data workflows, and deployment environments into a cohesive solution.
This role involves architecting systems that apply image and data analysis techniques to produce meaningful, actionable results for clients. While the role leverages AI technologies such as large language models and computer vision systems, the focus is on creating prototypes of solutions rather than exploratory or experimental development. This is a US based remote role with a rate of $150-175/hour. Successful candidates must be able to contract directly with geniant without sponsorship or needing a third party.
What You'll Do
- Client Collaboration and Adaptability: Adapt solutions to meet client needs, whether that means tighter security, specific integrations, or operational constraints. Adjust architectures to suit diverse client environments, accounting for unique operational, data-handling, and security contexts.
- AI Development Acceleration: Employ AI-assisted development techniques to streamline production, while maintaining a high bar for code and product quality.
- System Design & Implementation: Design AI and data analysis systems that integrate smoothly into existing client environments, balancing performance, cost, and maintainability. Explore the use of off-the-shelf and open source components as integral parts of an overall solution
- Deployment & Scaling: Build and deploy systems that can run both locally and in the cloud, with the flexibility to scale up as usage grows.
- Synthetic Data Generation: Create synthetic training and testing data at scale based on data avaialble in client environments.
- AI Integration: Work with computer vision, image analysis and object detection, large language models (LLMs) and related tools, applying good prompt and context engineering practices to make outputs reliable and useful.
- Reliability & Performance: Ensure systems are stable, with minimal downtime, through practical testing and strong architectural decisions.
- Security & Compliance: Design systems that handle data safely, respecting client security policies and best practices for secure deployment.
What You'll Bring
- 10 years experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
- Experience in computer vision, image recognition, or applied data analytics.
- Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML or data-intensive systems at scale.
- Experience generating synthetic datasets for training and testing
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premise deployment strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and contextual data orchestration.
- Proficiency in performance optimization and resource planning for compute-intensive workloads.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and continuous integration/deployment pipelines for AI systems.
- Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance in distributed environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional technical and client teams.
- A mindset that values reliability, security, and adaptability as much as innovation.
- Prior experience working in environments with strict data security or IP protection requirements is preferred.
- Experience with GPU/TPU resource management and monitoring tools is preferred.
