Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Test Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements by building and executing both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating test results, and assisting with triaging defects.

This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements by building and executing both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating test results, and assisting with triaging defects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
- Lead test planning at a team level, ensuring stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria
- Implement the test framework for the team and lead test case reviews
- Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types
- Condition and generate test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
- Execute manual and automated test cases, record test results, and report issues and defects
- Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary
- Create and manage traceability through the development lifecycle back to requirements
- Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment
- Maintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of testing experience
- 5 years of experience in test automation
- Proficiency with Testing Process, ALM, JIRA, SQL, and API testing
- Experience with Selenium/Cucumber and JAVA
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Desired skills:
- Prior banking domain experience
- Core Java development skills
- Experience with Octane
Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
