Applications Solution Architect - Hybrid/Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Applications Solution Architect - Hybrid/Remote for a contract position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $96.00 - $98.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
The Applications Solution Architect translates business needs, product priorities, and enterprise architecture direction into practical, end-to-end solution designs. This role enables consistent, scalable, and connected customer onboarding across business lines, including retail and wholesale channels. The role requires experience designing and integrating cloud-based solutions using AWS, Confluent Cloud, PostgreSQL, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), Snowflake, and API-led integration patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate customer onboarding business capabilities, process needs, product requirements, and strategic priorities into end-to-end application and technology solution architectures
• Design scalable onboarding solutions that support retail and wholesale business models, channels, and customer segments
• Define customer and user journeys, solution context, architecture diagrams, component interactions, data flows, integration patterns, event flows, and technology recommendations
• Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, target-state architecture, approved technology standards, and governance guardrails
• Design secure, scalable, and supportable cloud-based solution architectures using AWS services and enterprise application platforms
• Architect capabilities that support the customer onboarding lifecycle, including initial engagement, customer and account setup, validation, activation, service enablement, and operational handoff
• Design and govern integrations, APIs, event flows, middleware usage, and data-exchange patterns required for customer onboarding capabilities
• Define API-led and event-driven integration patterns using Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka capabilities
• Define and validate non-functional requirements, including security, availability, reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Partner with Product Owners, Portfolio teams, and business stakeholders to understand priorities, desired customer outcomes, and delivery constraints
• Serve as a trusted architecture advisor to product, business, and technology stakeholders supporting customer onboarding

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• Significant experience in application development, systems analysis, technical leadership, or solution architecture
• Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end application solutions across multiple systems, teams, and technology domains
• Experience designing solutions that support customer, account, order, service, commercial, or onboarding-related business processes
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud-based application architectures using AWS services
• Experience with Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka-based event-streaming patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including application data modeling and data-access patterns
• Strong experience designing, governing, and integrating APIs, including API-led integration patterns
• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), particularly customer, business-partner, or account master-data processes
• Experience with Snowflake, including data integration and governed data exchange
• Experience partnering with product management and engineering teams in an Agile or iterative delivery environment

Desired Skills:

• Experience supporting complex customer-facing or commercial business applications across multiple business lines
• Experience supporting retail and wholesale technology capabilities
• Experience with customer relationship management, customer/account data, customer portals, or digital commerce platforms
• Experience integrating SAP MDG with other enterprise platforms
• Experience designing cloud-native or hybrid application architectures using AWS services
• Experience implementing data governance, customer-data quality, or master-data management practices
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance
• Relevant architecture, AWS cloud, Confluent/Kafka, SAP, data-platform, security, or Agile certifications
