Sr. SAP Technical Lead – Solution Architecture & Delivery

Genesis Consulting has an upcoming opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking Senior SAP Technical Lead with experience in Solution Architecture and Delivery on Large Federal Projects.  As the Senior SAP Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex SAP solutions tailored to meet the specific requirements of our Federal Government Client. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of SAP technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and government officials, to understand the client's requirements and develop comprehensive SAP solution architectures that align with their strategic goals and objectives.
  
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of SAP developers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions within project timelines and budget constraints. Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and monitoring progress. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
  
• Oversee the design and development of SAP solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. Collaborate with the development team to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
  
• Architect and implement SAP integrations and interfaces with other systems and applications, both internal and external to the Federal Government Client's ecosystem. Ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability.
  
• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable SAP solutions. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and system testing to identify and rectify issues proactively.
  
• Build strong relationships with the Federal Government Client's stakeholders, including business users, project sponsors, and executives. Engage in regular communication to provide updates on project progress, manage expectations, and address any concerns or issues.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP solutions.
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience: 

• Extensive experience (8 years) as a Technical Lead or Solution Architect in SAP implementations, within the Federal Government sector, at a Federal Client, DOD or DHS experience is preferred.
  
• Deep knowledge of SAP technologies, including ECC, S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, SAP Integration technologies (BPT), and other relevant integration protocols (API, JSON, SFTP)
  
• Proven experience in leading end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including solution architecture, development, integration, and testing.
  
• Strong expertise in ABAP programming, SAP UI technologies, and SAP data migration tools.
  
• Excellent understanding of enterprise integration patterns, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and API management.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations.
  
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead a team towards project success.
  

Minimum Education: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  

Required Certifications: 

• Certification in relevant SAP modules or technologies is highly desirable
  
• SAP, SAFe, CSM certifications desired
  

Other: 

• Must be US Citizen
  
• Must have Secret clearance or Ability to Obtain it
  
• Willingness to work on-site and remotely in the DC/MD/VA area
