Superintendent / Senior Project Manager
Position Summary
Genesis Construction is seeking a driven and organized Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects throughout North and South Carolina. This role assists with daily site coordination, quality control, safety compliance, subcontractor management, and schedule execution.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of helping maintain project momentum while representing Genesis professionally on-site.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations
- Assist Superintendent with daily field coordination
- Support subcontractor scheduling and site logistics
- Monitor project progress against schedule
- Coordinate deliveries, manpower, and material staging
- Assist with punch lists and closeout activities
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and Genesis safety standards
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Help maintain jobsite documentation and compliance records
- Ensure site cleanliness and organization
Quality Control
- Monitor workmanship and installations
- Verify work aligns with plans and specifications
- Identify deficiencies and assist with corrective action tracking
Communication
- Maintain professional communication with PMs, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
- Assist with daily reports, progress photos, and documentation
- Escalate issues quickly to Superintendent or PM
Qualifications
- 4 years commercial construction field experience preferred
- Experience with ground ups, drywall, framing, concrete, or interior finishes preferred
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar software preferred
- OSHA 30 preferred
- CPR Certification
- Heavy equipment certifications
