What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor Relations Coordinator position at Genesee Valley BOCES?
Qualifications:
- Possession of Juris Doctor Degree from a NYS school or regionally accredited law school
- Attorney admitted to practice in NYS
- Experience and/or education in public sector labor law, education law, collective bargaining and human resources preferred
Duties:
- Work with component districts on labor, employment and education law issues;
- Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements;
- Analyze regional data for wages and benefits and draft comparable reports;
- Serve as hearing officer in student discipline hearings;
- Assist with employee issues, including conducting investigations;
- Keep up to date on legal issues in the field and apprise districts of changes;
- Represent school districts in grievances, PERB actions; and certain administrative matters.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Salary:
- $95,000-$105,000-Full time with benefits and NYS Pension
