About Genesee Community College:
Founded in 1966 as part of the prestigious State University of New York (SUNY), Genesee Community College serves a 2500 square mile region in the counties of Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming. Job Description
ABOUT THE VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM AT GCC:
Veterinary technicians work with veterinarians in private practice as well as in zoos, animal shelters, wildlife facilities and in research labs. Some technicians have careers with pharmaceutical companies, pet food companies or in diagnostic laboratories. GCC's Vet Tech program was established in 2010 and received full American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accreditation in 2017. The program is accredited through 2028 after passing the most recent AVMA review in 2022. The program also boasts a very successful passing rate of 86% for first time test takers on national board exam. Job Requirements:
Licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician who must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited program and is currently licensed in NY State. Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or Associate's in Veterinary Technology with at least 3 years of experience in the field is required.

This is a part-time instructor position teaching at the Batavia Campus. This position pays a rate of $825 per contact or credit hour.
