Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Generate and issue customer invoices for completed generator installations, services, and maintenance contracts.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers on overdue payments.
- Record and post customer payments, ensuring accurate application of cash receipts.
- Assist in reconciling AR accounts and aging reports.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing issues, payment arrangements, and discrepancies.
- Ensure all customer accounts are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies.
- Prepare and submit AR reports to management for review and follow-up.
- Support the finance team with general administrative duties and financial record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to AR activities.
- Work with project managers and other departments to ensure billing is accurate and timely for ongoing projects.
- Assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts as part of the monthly close process.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding billing and payment inquiries.
- Participate in audits, as needed, and help ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in an accounts receivable role, preferably in a construction or service-based industry.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of generator installation and service industry operations is a plus.
