Looking for 1-2 shifts a month plus relief for call outs, PTO, as needed
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake processes to ensure a seamless check-in experience
- Measure and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as wound care, medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support procedures
- Document patient encounters thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems using precise medical terminology and ICD coding when applicable
- Support administrative duties including updating patient records, scheduling follow-ups, and managing documentation related to inpatient or outpatient visits
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center settings
Experience
- Prior experience in urgent care, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical practices enhances your ability to provide comprehensive patient support
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology ensures accurate documentation and efficient workflow
- Experience with intake procedures, vital signs collection, ICD coding, and anatomy knowledge is essential for success in this role
- Previous hospital experience—including Level I or Level II trauma centers—and exposure to emergency medicine or PICU settings are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to assist with X-ray procedures or OR experience adds value to your skill set
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations
