What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Kit Tech position at General Stamping & Metalworks?
The Weld Kit Technician ensures welders and production teams receive accurate and complete kits of parts and tooling. This role supports smooth production flow by preparing, labeling, and delivering components on time while maintaining ERP accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick, count, and deliver component parts and tooling to weld stations or Kanban areas.
• Enter accurate transactions into the ERP system to maintain real-time inventory.
• Move, label, and organize materials (WIP, purchased, and subcontracted parts).
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely; perform daily inspections.
• Maintain clean, labeled storage areas and consolidate containers for efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts and adjustments as trained.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of material handling or warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification required; turret truck/picker experience preferred.
• Proficient in ERP systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
