Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our team and contribute to the successful installation, maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance across various landscapes by applying your technical expertise and hands-on skills. Your proactive approach will help clients achieve lush, healthy lawns and landscapes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties:
- Chemical Application: Mix and apply herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and fertilizers to plants, lawns, shrubs, and crops according to label instructions and safety guidelines.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain spraying equipment, including sprayers, tanks, nozzles, and related machinery, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Landscape and Pest Management: Identify plant diseases, pest infestations, and nutrient deficiencies, and apply appropriate treatments to maintain plant health.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow environmental and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
- Record Keeping: Document chemical usage, application rates, and treatment schedules for compliance and reporting purposes Indeed.
- Customer Interaction: Educate clients on pest prevention, plant care, and safe chemical use when applicable Indeed.
Requirements
- Familiarity with landscaping principles, horticulture, soil science, and lawn care practices
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; certification in landscape or irrigation-related fields is a plus
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform outdoor work, lift a minimum of 50 lbs plus various equipment, and operate machinery safely. Spray Technicians work outdoors in various weather conditions, including residential, commercial, and agricultural settings.
