The Client Development Lead plays a pivotal role in this mission by overseeing and enhancing transactional interactions between customers, prospects, and GSM, while mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement across customer-facing processes.

Organizational Relationships and Authority

The Client Development Lead reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager and collaborates with cross-functional GSM team members to achieve sales goals and improve the customer experience. This role may provide informal leadership and guidance to Client Development Specialists and other support staff, though it does not have formal direct reports.

Key Responsibilities and Purpose

The Client Development Lead supports and guides sales efforts by:

• Leading the execution of customer orders and releases, ensuring accuracy in pricing and delivery timelines.

• Overseeing the upload of forecasts, creation of reports, and analysis of sales pipeline data to inform strategic decisions.

• Managing RFQ processing and beginner-level estimating using automated tools, including the repricing PriceFab tool.

• Monitoring customer portals for RFQs, engineering changes, schedule updates, surveys, and compliance documentation.

• Ensuring timely and effective responses to customer inquiries, including order changes, RFQ status, quality issues, and change impact calculations.

• Mentoring team members in customer service best practices and supporting onboarding of new staff.

• Driving process definition and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Mentoring the team to follow-up on quote submissions to uncover customer needs and prioritize next steps.

• Coordinating cross-functional resources to address customer requirements.

• Hosting and leading customer on-site visits and tours and mentoring team members to ensure standardization of the process with their customers.

• Maintaining and leading customer onboarding using defined process and maintaining contract templates.

• Championing the optimization and usage of the CRM module to manage customer data and ensure timely case resolution.

• Supporting the Inside Sales Manager in reporting and performance tracking as required.
