What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at GENERAL SHALE?
Red River Brick is for a Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and production machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagrams, manuals, and measuring instruments
- Remove and replace defective parts using hand, power, and welding tools
- Fabricate repair parts and assist with machinery fabrication as needed
- Maintain inventory, document work completed, and communicate equipment needs
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Lift up to 75–100 lbs
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Welding and basic fabrication
- Read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Use hand, power, and precision tools
- Problem-solving and teamwork
- Commitment to safety and reliability
JOB DETAILS:
- Full-time position; some overtime required
