Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Engineering & Technical Support:
- Provide engineering support for aerospace product builds, including design interpretation, material selection,
- Translate customer requirements, specifications, and drawings into actionable manufacturing plans, work
- Support prototype builds, iterative design changes, and transition to production.
- Supporting and validating cost models and assumptions for customer RFQ’s
- Composites, Materials & Process Integration
- Apply knowledge of composite materials, resin systems, layup techniques, curing methods, bonding,
- Define and document processing parameters and acceptance criteria to ensure quality and repeatability.
- Cross-functional collaboration to integrate new materials, technologies and tooling.
- Manufacturing Readiness
- Support process development, validation, and control activities that improve yield, consistency, and
- Lead/support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing documentation.
- Supporting processes, work instructions, and training for manufacturing scale up of new products
- Quality System & Compliance
- Ensure products and processes meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Support inspection and nonconformance analysis.
- Participate in internal and external audits and closure of findings.
- Project & Program Management
- Assist with project planning, technical risk assessments, and cost/lead-time inputs for quotations and
- Support introduction of new aerospace products and transferred programs into production.
- Active engagement with customers in early stage discussions through trials and manufacturing scale up
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience of aerospace and advanced composite experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Some technical sales experiences preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting hardware through build, inspection, and delivery.
- Exposure to both aerospace and defense programs preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of AS9100, aerospace quality requirements, ITAR and customer qualification
- Experience working with CATIA models and drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience developing manufacturing documentation and technical reports.
