Mat Roller / Production Worker 1st Shift
General Linen Service LLC is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our production team in our Somersworth, NH facility. This role focuses exclusively on mat processing and plays a key part in supporting daily production and delivery operations.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $16.00 – $17.60 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday (1st shift)
Position OverviewThe Mat Roller is a key role in plant responsible for preparing, organizing, and processing floor mats using specialized rolling equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and proper handling of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Print daily mat production requirements using routing software
- Organize workspace and prepare appropriate carts for production needs
- Attach production requirements to carts to ensure accuracy
- Operate mat rolling machine at a target rate of approximately 200 mats per hour
- Place rolled mats into designated carts according to order requirements
- Move completed carts into the correct outbound trailers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Meet physical requirements of the job (see below)
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for 7–8 hours per shift
- Repetitive use of arms and hands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull loaded carts
- Work performed in a fast-paced production setting
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable team player with a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
