Description

Immediate permanent Maintenance Mechanic opportunity for a growing manufacturing plant located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the production equipment in the facility and maintaining/enhancing equipment to meet production and quality and customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot motor control circuits, drives and PLC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC Systems
• Troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine PM's, repairs, rebuild and modify equipment assigned and to include electrically controlled equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all company vehicles.
• Repair mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, cranes and forklifts.
• Perform upgrades and/or changes to equipment if needed.
• Suggest ways to make production more efficient.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Able to operate various machinery – scissor, boom lift and forklift.
• Assist with snow removal as necessary, able to be flexible with work hours when necessary.
• Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.
  
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Must have a valid Drivers License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-year technical degree in electricity or electronics or trade school is preferred.
• Min. 5 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferably welding, heavy fabrication.
• Previous experience with troubleshooting with PLC's preferably Allen Bradley· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, fractions and decimals.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours, including prescheduled daytime shifts and Saturdays as required.
• Ability to stand duration of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or move 100 with lifting equipment or assistance.
• Able to speak, read and write the English language.
• Self-starter that has some flexibility with work hours as necessary.
• Strong attention to detail.
  
  

Pay: $26.00 to $30.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
