OVERVIEW:
The Planned Maintenance Technician position, working closely with the Service Foreman, is responsible for coordinating and maintaining service on a wide variety of machines throughout the Western ND territory (primarily around Bismarck ND). This position will require traveling to customer job sites to fulfill routine maintenance. This individual will be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.

This position will require traveling to customer job sites to fulfill routine maintenance. This individual will be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs walk-around inspections of various types of equipment working in the field as required
- Handles the servicing for all machines on Maintenance Contracts
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to obtain a CDL
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or diesel industry preferred
- Ability to work outside in all-weather elements
- Maintains a service schedule log and complete all required paperwork for jobs
- Performs necessary maintenance to the various machine service levels, primarily under Komatsu Care
- Demonstrates basic trouble shooting skills and perform basic maintenance with minimal supervision
- Maintains a clean workplace and take care of all tools/equipment
- Works safely and practices safe working habits
- Demonstrates equipment and mechanical knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Foreman

- Has a valid Class A CDL License and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
- Has minimum 2-year Diesel Technology degree/and or Automotive degree or equivalent experience
- Has a basic tool set
- Willing to assist other branch locations in Western ND as needed for providing services to machine
- Works in an efficient and effective manner
- Contribution to departmental and product line goals
- Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers
- Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Must be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them – customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers
