What You’ll Do
- Provide scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of residential, commercial, and industrial generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends and holidays as directed
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
- Travel around local area for service work while being on call and rotating first to call responsibility
- Maintain parts and service inventory within company vehicle
- Create and submit reports for service work completed and project updates
- 2 years of mechanical experience with power generation, automotive, or diesel engines
- Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
- Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally
- Valid driver's license
