We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.What you’ll do:Provide scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends and holidays as directedDetect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely mannerStay current on NFPA and State regulations for EPSS, and EPA systems in the state of CaliforniaTravel around local area for service calls, on-call rotation with some overnight workCreate reports for all work performed in FieldServioWhat you’ll bring: High School Diploma or equivalent1 year of mechanical experience with power generation or diesel enginesKnowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operationsWorking knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagramsWorking knowledge of engine maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas and diesel fuel systemsValid driver's licenseBring your generator experience—Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Katolite, Detroit, Volvo, Isuzu, John Deere, or Briggs & StrattonPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to discern color. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
