We are currently seeking Behavior Support Professionals (BSP’s) in the West Mifflin area.
Position Summary
The Behavioral Support Professional (BSP) Level II provides initial and ongoing behavioral support services to assigned individuals and their teams. This role includes conducting functional assessments, developing behavior support plans, training team members, and ensuring compliance with service plans.
This position reports directly to the Regional Behavior Director.

Billable Expectations
- 25–35 billable hours per week (direct & indirect)
- Missed billable hours must be made up to ensure compliance with individual service plans
Essential Job ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
- Observe individuals in various settings (home, community, workplace, day programs)
- Develop and maintain Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) using evidence-based, positive practices
- Plans must not include restraint procedures (physical, chemical, or mechanical)
- Implement and monitor behavior strategies
- Revise plans as needed based on data
- Maintain caseload including individuals requiring Level II Behavioral Supports
- Support individuals with complex behavioral needs, including aggression, self-injurious behaviors, or law-offending behaviors
- Provide instruction for Healthy Relationships & Sexuality Courses (as assigned)
Training & Collaboration
- Conduct plan trainings for staff, families, and team members
- Attend ISP meetings, team meetings, and meet & greets
- Provide clinical support to regional BSP team members
- Present cases during BSP supervision
- Provide training and shadowing to new BSPs
- Open and maintain new cases within the regional team
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete all required documentation including:
- FBAs
- PBSPs
- Progress reports
- Raw data tracking
- Training logs
- ISP documentation
- Upload documentation to SharePoint
- Track utilization of authorized hours
- Monitor FBA/PBSP due dates to ensure compliance
- Complete consent for treatment and release of information forms for new individuals
- Attend monthly clinical supervision
Work Environment
- Combination of direct and indirect service hours
- Services provided in homes, community settings, workplaces, and day programs
- Travel required (must use personal vehicle)
- Commute not to exceed 45 minutes unless agreed upon with supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in:
- Special Education
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Counseling
- Gerontology
- Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid vehicle registration and insurance
- Completion of Functional Behavioral Assessment training prior to working with clients
- Successful completion of competency check conducted by Regional Behavior Director
- Completion of required background checks (criminal history, child abuse, FBI)
- Completion of orientation and Positive Behavioral Support training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility needs (including transfers and wheelchair movement)
- Ability to manage and redirect physical aggression safely
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills to ensure health and safety
