What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office/ Customer Service / Bookkeeper position at Gene Check, Inc?
Hours: approximately 15-25 hours per week.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: A/P & A/R- Create customer invoices for supply orders and services, process payments. Email and/or mail invoices and statements. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for business and customer accounts. Monitor customer balances, send past due statements or make phone calls to collect balances.
- Customer Service: Ability to always maintain a cheerful and polite rapport with customers is a must. Answer incoming phone calls, take supply orders, answer questions, problem solve with customers. Package and ship customer orders.
- Email and mail customer test results.
- Minimal in person customer contact.
Software Knowledge: Quickbooks Pro (will train the right person),Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Competencies: Flexibility, Integrity, Initiative, Communication skills, Optimism, Organization, Strong work ethic.
Skills: Bookkeeping, General office tasks, Customer service, Data entry.
Education and Experience Preferred: Two years administrative experience and/or education.
Willing to train someone who is just getting their foot in the door and has a great attitude, good work ethic, and is good with numbers, has bookkeeping knowledge and is thorough and cares about their work.
