Job Title: Construction Management Representative (CMR)
Location: Pinnacles National Park, Paicines, CA
Duration of Project: October 2026 – August 2027 (Anticipated)
Job Summary: Provide on-site Construction Management Representative services for the National Park Service to oversee the rehabilitation of the Old Pinnacles Trailhead Parking Area Shuttle Stop. You will act as the primary on-site point of contact for Quality Assurance, ensuring the contractor’s work complies with contract documents, safety regulations, and resource protection measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Oversight: Observe and document daily construction activities, workmanship, and progress.
- Documentation: Review submittals and RFIs; prepare daily/weekly reports with progress photography. Assist with cost estimating for modifications, schedule analysis (MS Project), and payroll reviews.
- Meetings & Coordination: Facilitate weekly progress meetings and coordinate construction efforts with park operations to minimize visitor impact.
- Safety & Quality: Monitor adherence to the Contractor’s Safety Plan and OSHA regulations; manage the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction management experience, specifically with the three phases of on-site quality control.
- Expertise: Knowledgeable in paving, sitework, drainage, and construction practices in rural/remote environments.
- Certification: Must have OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and MS Project or Primavera
- Resource Protection: Experience with federal resource protection measures to minimize impacts on natural and cultural resources is highly preferred
