The position works closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to support and enhance the platform.

Remediate and modernize legacy customizations by replacing direct database dependencies with supported APIs and SaaS‑native tools.

Serve as a technical escalation point to vendor for trading, portfolio management, and compliance inquiries related to Charles River functionality.

Partner with Charles River product and support teams to evaluate platform releases, manage upgrades, and onboard new functionality.

Ensure system behavior aligns with documented compliance procedures and supports audit, regulatory, and operational review requirements.

Assist in root‑cause analysis for compliance events and trading issues, including “why did this violation occur” investigations.
Participate in release reviews, change management, and risk assessments related to system upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications

BA/BS Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or a related discipline and 5 years of experience.

5 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (preferably C# or Python) and SQL databases.

Strong understanding of trading workflows, pre‑trade and post‑trade compliance, and security operations.

Proven ability to support business‑critical systems in a regulated environment.

Strong problem-solving skills that apply an analytical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.

Works effectively across business and technology teams.

Experience supporting Charles River Trading & Compliance System, or a comparable institutional trading/compliance platform highly preferred.
