THE ROLE
The Quality & Compliance Specialist supports Gemline’s quality assurance and compliance programs, working closely with the Company’s U.S. and Asia-based compliance teams, brand partners, and multiple internal departments. This role is ideal for an early-career professional seeking exposure across product testing, documentation management, regulatory compliance, and quality inspection functions for a company that operates internationally. This position reports to the Manager of Quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
· Conduct incoming quality inspections, in-process checks, product trials, and returns evaluations.
· Record findings, track defects, and support root-cause analysis.
· Collect, review, and organize compliance documents (i.e., test reports, certifications, and audits).
· Maintain facility compliance documentation and ensure timely updates.
· Monitor updates to product safety regulations and summarize implications for internal teams.
· Coordinate with third-party labs, inspection agencies, and partners.
· Maintain document control logs, SharePoint libraries, and version-controlled compliance files.
· Support preparation for internal and external audits.
· Assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) documentation.
· Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding quality or compliance information.
· Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Asia-based teams.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Required
· 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, product testing, or operations roles.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to collaborate across departments and with international teams.
· Strong problem-solving capabilities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and document management systems.
Preferred
· Experience with product testing, quality inspections, or regulatory compliance.
· Exposure to QMS systems, or audit processes.
· Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
