Foundry Specialist

Gemini is looking for a 2nd shift Foundry Specialist to join the team at our location in Decorah, IA! This position is responsible for [insert job summary]. Wage Range: $22.29 - $29.81

Location: Decorah, IA

Type: Full Time

Schedule: 4 10-hour days 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, Monday through Thursday

• The posted range is inclusive of an additional 10% shift premium for working on 2nd shift.
• Overtime is scheduled as needed.
  
  

A day in the life of a Foundry Specialist at Gemini includes:

• Pours molten metal into molds, observing and adjusting to achieve acceptable, repeatable results.
• Troubleshoots problems encountered in the pouring process and actively gathers feedback on quality of castings
• Charges and maintains the melting furnace in preparation for pouring.
• Ensures proper melt by adjusting temperatures, cleaning, and preparing as required.
• Assembles all components of sand-molds, placing adhesive and insuring proper alignment.
• Utilizes multiple hand tools - saws, drills, sanders
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 75lbs occasionally.
• Maintains responsibility for the safety of oneself and other employees in the work area.
