Job Summary:
Responsible for specifying materials and other goods made with plastics. Creates specifications, establishes manufacturing control plans, and design parts for the Plastics Extrusion divisions both through customer driven concepts and concepts developed by Gemini Plastics.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and design new engineered plastic products for the Plastic Extrusion locations.
Create and improve co-extrusions.
Assist in the troubleshooting of processes at all Plastic Extrusion locations as required.
Research, gather and coordinate testing information on new products and processes.
Participate in corrective actions internally and externally as required.
Ensure quality output of extrusion components.
Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvement opportunities.
Establish the parameters for an optimal extrusion environment.
Perform capability studies as required.
Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.
Travel as necessary.
