Position Summary
The Quality Engineer plays a key role in supporting and maintaining our IATF 16949–certified quality management system while promoting a culture of excellence across all operations. This position acts as the primary liaison for customer quality activities, manages corrective action processes, and supports the implementation of quality best practices throughout production and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure ongoing compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management standards.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA), 8D investigations, and corrective actions for internal and customer quality issues.
Manage quality alerts, customer sorts, and tracking of quality performance metrics.
Develop, update, and maintain FMEAs, control plans, PPAP submissions, and related documentation.
Work directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers (GM, Stellantis, Magna, etc.) to meet and exceed quality performance requirements.
Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement robust and effective quality controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive parts manufacturing.
Strong understanding of IATF 16949 requirements and core automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, SPC).
Experience supporting OEM/Tier 1 quality systems for major automotive customers.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues.
