Gemini, one of North America’s largest designer, manufacturer and supplier of custom systems for the food industry is seeking an onsite Inventory Control Manager in Willow Grove, PA.

 

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory management activities including inventory accuracy, optimizing inventory levels and maintaining efficient material flow throughout the facilities. The Inventory Control Manager will work collaboratively with operations, procurement, accounting and finance to ensure materials are available when needed while minimizing carrying costs and preventing stock shortages and excess inventory.

 

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), 5-8 years of inventory control, warehouse or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (industrial equipment preferred).

Inventory Control Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures to ensure consistent practices across all stocking locations.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through ABC-based cycle counting, physical inventories, reconciliation processes, and root-cause analysis of discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory trends, turnover, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize waste.
  • Lead and manage cycle count programs and annual physical inventory activities, including reconciliation and corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels, reorder points, safety stock, and min/max levels to support customer demand and production schedules.
  • Manage material availability, including long-lead and imported items, to reduce stockouts and prevent shortages that could disrupt production.
  • Oversee inventory transactions and controls related to receiving, issuing, put-away, transfers, returns, and other material movements.
  • Establish and monitor inventory KPIs and reporting to measure inventory accuracy, turnover, availability, and overall performance.
  • Utilize and expand the use of Acumatica inventory functionality to maintain accurate records, improve transaction discipline, and enhance inventory reporting.
  • Lead and develop direct and indirect reports responsible for inventory and warehouse activities, promoting accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee warehouse and material handling activities, including storage, organization, kitting, staging, and movement of materials to support internal production.
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Operations, Production, Accounting, and other departments to align inventory and material availability with business needs.
  • Support inventory and material planning using historical demand, production requirements, business trends, and forecasts to establish appropriate inventory positions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce inventory investment and improve turnover while maintaining production efficiency and required service levels.
  • Support inventory valuation, month-end close, audit requirements, and other inventory-related financial and operational activities.

 

Inventory Control Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, logistics or related field strongly preferred.
  • 5-8 years of inventory control, warehouse or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3-4 years leadership and management experience.
  • 3-5 years of ERP experience (Acumatica preferred).
  • Working knowledge of inventory management principles, forecasting, and demand planning.
  • Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS a plus).
