Retirement Plan Specialist / Advisor

A highly successful and growing independent wealth management firm with over $2B in AUM is looking for a retirement plan professional to expand its 401(k), cash balance, and employer retirement plan capabilities.
This is a strong fit for someone with meaningful retirement plan experience who wants to build on existing opportunities and shape a more dedicated practice area inside a sophisticated advisory firm. The right person will be credible with business owners and plan sponsors, comfortable identifying opportunities, and operationally strong enough to bring structure to a growing area.
What You’ll Do
- Expand the firm’s retirement plan
- Work with business-owner clients around 401(k), cash balance, and related plan opportunities
- Partner with planning, investment, tax, and client service teams
- Support new opportunities and ongoing plan sponsor relationships
- Create process, structure, and service expectations around this area
What’s Offered
- $100,000–$150,000 base, with meaningful performance-based upside of up to $50,000. Total compensation will depend on retirement plan experience, existing relationships, and ability to contribute to growth

What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of retirement plan / 401(k) experience preferred
- Strong understanding of plan sponsor needs, participant issues, and employer retirement plan design
- Credibility with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Strong communication skills, judgment, and client presence
- Ability to build, organize, and scale a retirement plan offering
- Must be within a 45-minute commute to the Ellicott City/Columbia area, MD
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
