The Fund Accountant is responsible for timely, accurate accounting and reporting. They work closely with key service providers—including counterparties, the third-party administrator, and the custodian—as well as the broader accounting and operations team, while maintaining a high level of responsibility and autonomy over their assigned funds.

The Fund Accountant is responsible for timely, accurate accounting and reporting. They work closely with key service providers—including counterparties, the third-party administrator, and the custodian—as well as the broader accounting and operations team, while maintaining a high level of responsibility and autonomy over their assigned funds.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Track incoming capital calls, distributions, fund expense payments, payments to GEM, investor subscriptions and redemptions
- Assists with monthly and quarterly close process for assigned portions of overall GEM portfolio and review of junior accountants’ assigned portfolios
- Assists of portfolio activity and accounting, including recording monthly/quarterly NAVs, unfunded balances, capital calls, and distributions
- Manage incoming cash requests
- Initiate and track wire approvals
- Open and close accounts
- Track capital calls and distributions
- Record and analyze quarterly NAVs
- Review and report unfunded balances
- Reconcile with fund administrator
- Generate monthly and quarterly statements for investors

- CPA preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 2-4 years of experience
- Advanced Excel and other MS Office skills
- Power user of team software and tools, including managing upgrades, updates, and/or enhancements
- Proven ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

- Work schedule – Minimum 40 hours / week
- Work location – Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) subject to manager discretion
