What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at Gelson's Markets?

Gelson's markets currently has an opening in our distribution center for an experienced truck driver. The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years experience as a truck driver including loading and unloading freight, clean DMV record, knowledge of and compliance with all DOT regulations. All drivers must pass an annual DOT physical. The applicant must have experience using a pallet jack, hydraulic lift, and scissor lift. Must be able to lift up to 85 lbs. frequently.
Warehouse experience is a plus as you will be expected to assist with order selecting as needed.

Physical requirements:
- Sitting up to 5 hours per day
- Walking and standing up to 2 hours per day
- Fine hand manipulation required including simple grasping power grasping, pushing and pulling
- Reaching above the shoulder
- Reaching below the shoulder
- Lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.
- Working near hazardous equipment, including pallet jack, forklift
- Exposure to gas fumes
- Exposure to noise, including engines and traffic
- Vision will be tested in accordance with DOT regulations
