Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across interstate routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity.
• Drive a variety of trailer types including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods to multiple destinations.
• Manage route driving logistics to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining punctuality and safety.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Secure freight properly for transport to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or issues encountered on the road.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on interstate deliveries; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers.
• Skilled in driving manual transmission vehicles and handling various truck types including dump trucks and forklift-equipped vehicles.
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures for freight handling across different trailer types.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement.
• Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like forklifts; comfortable working in diverse weather conditions.
